Robust membrane switch for high voltage – stable, safe, EMC-protected

Together with our customer NSE AG, we developed a particularly robust membrane switch that functions reliably even in high-voltage environments. It offers clear visibility, high stability, and safe discharge—even under harsh conditions.

In close cooperation with NSE AG, we have developed a highly robust membrane switch that is shielded against EMC and has an integrated grounding cable. 

It was specially designed for the demanding requirements of high-voltage applications and combines maximum mechanical stability, chemical resistance, and precise optical properties.

Thanks to this development, the keyboard not only offers reliable protection against interference in EMC environments, but also ensures optimal ESD safety and a clear, long-lasting view of the display, even under extreme operating conditions.

  • Excellent resistance to abrasion, scratches, chemicals and solvents
  • High optical clarity in the glossy display window area with minimal clouding
  • Fully bonded with polycarbonate in the display area for optimum display impact protection
  • Embossable with screen printing on the reverse side
  • Thermally stable

Special requirements during development:

  • Integrated ESD protective layer in the membrane switch with connection cable for the housing
  • Reinforced display window area with additional ITO coating (0.1 mm) for optimum ESD protection
  • Side pockets for individual labelling of the LEDs
  • Temperature range: -20°C to +60°C
  • Humidity: up to 80% rH
  • Compliance: RoHS, REACH
  • Keys with metal domes and carbon contacts, chemically stable, prevent oxidation on the contact surfaces
